OpSec is one of the most important considerations when choosing a gf (or bf) these days. Not a troll.

🤣 Sounds like a utopian post from the beginning of the internet!

If people were allowed to demand that others meet certain standards before being able to connect to the net, virtually no one would succeed in making that connection.

Hell, probably 80% of the people using the net daily have no clue about computer security.

The only solution is when AIs run everything and the AI takes care of all the details.

This is why, despite being a very tech-y person (I have my own home server, I have my own router running open source software), I do not buy or use any "smart" device that is not able to run entirely locally without ever leaving my home network. Cloud functionality is occasionally useful, but it should always be optional and able to be turned off. If it can't run without talking to distant servers, it's not getting on my network.
